What Is a Hydrocolloid Acne Patch?

Hydrocolloid acne patches are medical-grade adhesive dressings designed to absorb exudate from acne lesions while protecting the skin from external contamination. Based on moist wound healing technology, hydrocolloid materials help accelerate recovery and reduce scarring risk. Unlike cosmetic stickers, hydrocolloid patches actively draw out fluid and create a protective barrier over the affected area.

How Hydrocolloid Absorbs Exudate

Hydrocolloid materials contain moisture-absorbing particles that swell upon contact with fluid. When applied to acne with visible exudate, the patch turns white as it absorbs impurities, providing visual confirmation of performance.

Main Function

Main Ingredients

• Methyl salicylate is fat-soluble and can penetrate into the pores through the coverage of acne patches to dissolve accumulated oil and old dead cells to avoid aggravation of pore clogging

• Centella Asiatica can repair damaged skin, relieve inflammation, and accelerate acne healing on the basis of the physical isolation and protection of acne patches.

• Tea tree essential oil is naturally antibacterial and inhibits the growth of bacteria. It can reduce acne bacterial infection from the source and help relieve inflammation based on the physical isolation of acne patches.

Usage Tips

• Clean and wipe the acne area before use

• Apply to the acne area and press gently

• After 3 hours, I peeled off the acne patch and the pus had been sucked out.
